About Kerry Campbell

Kerry is attracted to the clean and poetic energy of the mid 20th century modern aesthetic because it exemplifies a certain simplicity and celebration of the juxtaposition of things in form and space.  Her work explores the intersection and interplay of ideas, life’s exquisite beauty or agony, individual expression, and relational metaphor.

Her work is uber modernist in a sense.  Her work is bold and expressive abstract representations of form, but these forms interplay with each other and express a type of relationship, an abstract tension, or a metaphorical mood or sense of story.  She also explores human relationships and allegory through abstract figurative works that often explores the themes of relationships and alienation. Other works are abstract expressionist in their story-telling.

Kerry received a Bachelor of Arts at the University of California, Davis, where she studied under the New York artist, Jane Rosen. She holds an M.A. in Creative Writing and often writes poems to go with her works.  She has exhibited throughout the United States, including Washington D.C., Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Diego.  Her works are held in private and corporate collections.

Kerry is available for gallery representation, commissioned work, and working with interior designers and art dealers. She owns Kerry Gallery + Art Studio in Solana Beach, CA. Her works adorn homes and businesses throughout the US and Europe.

She sells her works through Rise Art.
